Description:
Supervisors will learn to articulate and supervise to their agency’s mission and vision; know and can lead to the values of family-centered child welfare practice, understand how supervisory power and influence are acquired and effectively utilized, develop an awareness of one’s own values, attitudes, behaviors and cultural beliefs as they relate to supporting agency mission and vision and their impact on supervisory practice; develop comfort with transition from worker to supervisor; acquire skills to ensure unit performance accountability; and recognize diverse learning styles to help meet the learning and engagement needs of individual staff to help maximize their performance.
